Ingredients

  • 3 Eggs separated
  • 6 teaspoons Golden Syrup
  • 1.5 cups Milk
  • 1.5 cups Baking Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 8 teaspoons Cocoa
  • ½ stick Butter melted
  • 3 Bananas fresh

Instructions

  • Beat the separated egg whites until soft peaks form
  • In a separate large bowl, beat the egg yolks and mix with the golden syrup
  • Add milk, melted butter and all other dry ingredients
  • Add egg whites and mix thoroughly
  • Heat a non-stick surface waffle iron
  • When hot enough, cover the surface with a spoonful of the mixture
  • Close the lid and cook until the steaming ceases
  • Keep the waffles in a warm oven while slicing the bananas for topping
  • Serve while hot with drizzled golden syrup and sliced bananas
